WHAT IS GICLÉE PRINT?

Giclée

Definition Giclée (pronounced G-clay) is derived form the French verb meaning 'squirt'. The term has, in recent years been adopted to mean fine art reproductions by digital methods.

Ink

We use pigment, not dye based inks, which are guaranteed UV stable. Tests have shown the inks we use last in excess of 75 years.

Media

We only use acid free, neutral PH cotton rag. These papers are of archival or museum quality. There are a variety of substrates we can print on, including watercolour papers, canvas, and even card.

Scanning

We scan your image at high quality without any loss of detail. We then colour balance your image to get an almost identical reproduction of your original.
